Glass is cracked or shattered
Keep people away from loose fragments. Break pattern and markings can help identify whether a safety product was used.
Broken or foggy glass must be matched to the opening and its safety requirements. Location near doors, floors or activity areas can change the glass specification.
An existing Fenplast window may use ordinary annealed glass, tempered glass, laminated glass or an insulated unit containing a safety pane. The correct replacement depends on the window location, pane size, breakage risk and applicable requirements.
Windows Hamilton documents where the glass sits in relation to doors, walking surfaces, tubs, stairs and other hazardous locations. We also record the complete insulated-unit thickness, coatings, tint and spacer before ordering glass-only work.
We provide independent assessment and do not act as Fenplast or its warranty administrator. If manufacturer or installer coverage may apply, contact the provider named in the original paperwork before third-party reglazing.
Protect the area around broken glass and avoid assuming that every visual defect requires the same scope.

Moisture between panes points toward insulated-unit failure. The sash and frame still need inspection before reglazing.
Confirm which exposed surface is damaged. Coating damage, scratches and mineral deposits have different remedies and limits.
The replacement should fit mechanically, satisfy safety needs and make sense beside the retained windows.

Confirm panes, thickness, spacer, Low-E coating, gas fill and overall dimensions for the sash that will hold the new unit.
Review insulated glass
Glass in hazardous locations may require tempered or laminated construction. Existing markings and the opening location guide the review.

Reglazing should not preserve a cracked, distorted or leaking support system. Locks, drainage and glass stops must remain serviceable.
Review replacement scopeA serviceable Fenplast sash may accept a measured replacement when the frame is stable and the required glass specification can be confirmed.
Choose a broader window project when damaged vinyl, distorted sash or recurring leaks undermine the value of new glass.
A broken Fenplast pane may be connected to impact, thermal stress, installation or spontaneous breakage. Photograph the complete window, fracture origin if visible, glass markings and surrounding conditions before cleanup changes the evidence.
Warranty and insurance decisions belong to the relevant provider and policy. Windows Hamilton can document the observed service condition but does not determine third-party coverage.

Show the whole wall so potential hazardous-location requirements can be considered.
Photograph logos or codes in corners before the damaged pane is removed.
Capture the fracture, haze or affected edge while keeping a safe distance from loose glass.
Report whether the window opens, closes and locks and whether any frame damage is visible.
Send Windows Hamilton photos of the complete wall, the affected pane, all markings and the frame from both sides. We will identify the glass questions, assess the retained sash and explain when full replacement is the safer scope.
